Description: Shape trapezoidal to triangular, umbo situated forward of midline; angulation from umbo to posterior ventral margin; anterior dorsal margin straight or weakly concave, posterior dorsal margin convex, ventral margin sharply curved at angulation; lunule narrow, escutcheon wider and longer. Exterior with about 16-18 rounded commarginal ridge. Interior with muscle scars well defined, pallial line faint but continuous, margin very finely denticulate in large specimens. Hinge strong, crassatellid in form. Ligament internal, below umbo. Shell colour fawn. Periostracum not seen.

Size: Up to 7 mm in length.

Distribution: Known only from two locations; off Cape Three Points (south of Terrigal), NSW in 41-50 fathoms (75-90 m); off Port Kembla in 63-75 fathoms (115- 137 m).

Comparison: In this species the umbo is well forward of the midline, causing the dorsal posterior margin to be much longer than the anterior dorsal margin.
