Kurilabyssia antipodensis Marshall, 1986 Description: Shell light in weight, apex almost central. Protoconch sculpture of fine, crisp threads forming a subreticulate pattern. Teleoconch with anterior slope slightly convex, posterior slope slightly convex. Teleoconch sculptured with fine, crisp, closely spaced radial threads, and very fine, crowded concentric growth lines. Shell colour white. Periostracum thin, smooth, transparent. Size: Up to 8.7 mm in length. Distribution: Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, known from only one lot, from off Sydney, NSW, in 823 m. Habitat: Live specimens found on dredged wood. Less frequently met than other species in the family.
