Hebeulima fricata (Hedley, 1907)

Description: Shell relatively small, short and stout, protoconch very large, spire not bent, only slowly tapering. Whorls straight sided, suture clearly defined. Scars from previous positions of outer lip irregularly spaced. Aperture long; outer lip sinuous in profile. Shell glossy, colourless-transparent, becoming opaque with age.

Size: Holotype 4.25 mm (now broken), paratype 3.9 mm.

Distribution: Known only from holotype and one paratype, both from 22 miles east of Narrabeen, NSW, in 80 fathoms (146 m).

Habitat: Subtidal, host unknown. Rare.
