Tubercliopsis literalis (Laseron, 1951)

Description (based solely on holotype): Shell medium size for family, broadly conical, spire slightly convex in outline, slightly bent (possibly deformed). Protoconch of about 4½ whorls, (nuclear whorl broken) smooth, with distinct junction with teleoconch. Teleoconch whorls very weakly convex with suture indistinct; 3 spiral cords per whorl with interspaces about equal to width of cords. Last whorl with spiral 4 level with top of aperture, weaker than other spirals. Spirals crossed by axial ribs, forming prominent beads at intersections, weak in interspaces between spirals; about 17 ribs on last whorl. Base concave, smooth. Outer lip thin, broken. Anterior canal a deep U-shaped notch. Shell pale brown.

Size: Holotype 4.8 mm in length.

Distribution: Holotype from Castle Rock, Middle Harbour, NSW. No other specimens available.

Habitat: Unknown.
