Icunculus torcularis (Tension-Woods, 1878)
Description: Protoconch of 1 whorl, smooth, rounded, ending with varix. Teleoconch up to 4 ½ whorls. Spire whorls with single, strong keel, last whorl with 3 additional keels on base. Axial sculpture absent. Umbilicus closed. Inner lip of aperture standing free of columella; outer lip thin, crenulated by keels. Colour translucent white or fawn, opaque in old shells.
Size: Up to 4 mm in length.
Distribution: Endemic to Australia: Cape Moreton, Queensland, southwards to SA, including Tasmania.
Habitat: Subtidal, 5-183 m. In Sydney Harbour, 5-27 m. Moderately common.
