Inella kimblae B.A. Marshall, 1983

Description: Shell medium size, sinistral. Protoconch lecithotrophic, of 3 whorls, first whorl large and bulbous. Teleoconch whorls with 4 spiral cords and almost obsolete axial costae. Spirals 3 and 4 commence immediately after protoconch, spirals 1 and 2 after a few whorls. Spiral 1 weak, spiral 2 stronger, spiral 3 very strong, spiral 4 weaker. No spirals on base. Axial costae present only as nodules on spiral 3; 15 on penultimate whorl. Outer lip damaged; anterior siphonal canal short. Colour white below a yellowish brown periostracum.

Size: Up to 8 mm in length.

Distribution: Known from only two lots; off Sydney, in 384 m (Holotype and paratype); off Sydney in 393 m.

Habitat: Continental shelf.
